Call on Government to revoke visa agreement with Israel 21 April 2003 For some time our government has had a Visa Waiver Agreement with Israel. The United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHCR) on Tuesday April 15 2003 vehemently condemned Israel for its "mass killing" of Palestinians and for its illegal settlement policy in the occupied territory. Israel has constantly and is currently ignoring UN Resolutions, International Laws, and Geneva Conventions in its occupation of Palestine and Syria. Israel along with New Zealand are signatories to these conventions. Why then does Israel have a Waiver Visa Agreement with us? It is time this stopped and severe restrictions be put on all Israelis visiting New Zealand until it conforms with the above laws and conventions and the norms of a civilised nation. The Palestine Human Rights Campaign calls upon the Government is urged to revoke the Waiver Visa Agreement with Israel immediately especially as Israel has behaved as a rogue state in its brutal occupation of Palestine.
