The paanui for this meeting states it is from ‘an organising group of representatives from a range of NGOs’ but none are named in the background material. It also states that a number of official agencies have indicated support for a national human rights network - including MFAT, the Human Rights Commission, and Te Puni Kokiri. “Each of these sees benefits in having a mechanism for consultation on human rights matters.
