  • Peaceful Tomorrows the US group comprising families whose relatives were killed in the 11 Sept attacks on New York and Washington. They "firmly believe that the real lesson of September 11 is that war and violence are the problems, not the solutions."

  • Friday, 10 to Sunday, 12 September - Tautoko i te ao rangimarie / Advocating for a non violent world, the Y-Dub Peace Hui. A conference for young women of Aotearoa to explore non-violence in ourselves, our homes, community, nation and in our world; with workshops, discussions, and speakers from YWCA, Peace Movement Aotearoa, Global Education Centre, Women’s Refuge, Wellington Independent Rape Crisis and more. Powhiri at 5pm Friday, closes 2-30pm on Sunday; open to all young women (under 30 years old). $80 waged / $60 student or unwaged, cost includes all food and accommodation; at Tapu Te Ranga Marae, Island Bay, Wellington.
