| In memory of Owen Wilkes Owen Wilkes died unexpectedly on 12 May 2005. This has been a deeply sad time for everyone here at Peace Movement Aotearoa, and for everyone who knew Owen. He was a dedicated peace researcher for many years, former Editor of Peacelink, and former Peace Movement Aotearoa worker. Owen was always happy to share his extensive knowledge about disarmament to progress new and ongoing education and campaign work. We will miss him very much. A service to celebrate Owen's life was held in Hamilton on Tuesday, 17 May; and a gathering to remember him in Wellington on 27 May. Further memorial gatherings planned are: Auckland on 11 June, 1pm at the Friends Meeting House, 113 Mt Eden Road, bring memories to share and stay for afternoon tea; and in Christchurch on 4 July.
