In memory of
Llyn Richards

2009 National Peace Workshops

Llyn Richards died on Sunday, 21 April 2013.

Llyn was one of the early members of the National Consultative Committee on Disarmament, which was established in advance of the 1978 First UN Special Session on Disarmament, and a long-standing member and keen supporter of Peace Movement Aotearoa, among other groups. In recent years, he was an enthusiastic supporter of environmental sustainability and related issues.

Llyn was a great poet, printer and peace person, with detailed knowledge of disarmament issues in particular, he had a quirky sense of humour, and conversations with Llyn were always lively, entertaining and thought provoking. This is a time of sadness for us here at Peace Movement Aotearoa, we will miss Llyn very much, and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

There will be a Quaker meeting to remember and celebrate Llyn's life in Wellington in the first week of May, please contact us if you knew Llyn and would like to attend.
